ring and pinion guys plz help

okay i bought a 5 13 gear set used but like new its a precision gear brand and its for my 77 ford hp dana 44 , now i was gonna used the welded carrier from it but it says pre 69 on it in marker and i have a 77 axel so does this mean the gears are differnet also ? i am just wondering if this carrier will fit and if not will the gears fit on my stock carrier ? it has 307 s er somthin . i cant seem to find a site with the gears and years on it thank u carl

Did you buy generic 44 gears or reverse cut ones made for a HP?
