Ok I have the Teraflex Rear disk conversion on my D44 on my XJ...

well the ebrake assembly blew up on my test drive today.. It killed the Shoes, Springs, adjuster and the arm that actuates the Ebrake... So basically all of the Ebrake assembly...

Ummm anyone know what Tflex bases their stuff off of? any Ideas on a good way to repair/ Replace this crap...

This has been a craptacular day!

That's odd, not something that is likely to happen if the stuff is assembled properly. Who installed them?

Do the parts look like this? http://www.stu-offroad.com/suspension/d44brake/bc-3.htm

I'm pretty sure Tera uses the ZJ/TJ setup, but it could also be a modified version of the Ford SVO kit, http://www.currieenterprises.com/cestore/ProductsRE.aspx?id=1229 ( also found on the Explorer). I've owned both and they are very similar, I'd even venture a guess that they are produced by the same brake hardware manufacturer.

Only difference I could tell between them is the ebrake lever is shaped differently on the Ford vs Jeep setup. A junkyard or dealer should have parts for either, just need to ID which is which.

The Idiot here installed them... I forgot something minor that looks like it is going to cost me a few $$

Bummer, but we've all had one of those moments I guess.

Did you figure out if they are Ford or Jeep?

Not yet.. I will have to pull the other side when I get home from work tonight and see what I can figure out (the dead side has no decernable parts) :( once I figure this out I get to go get some new wheels too this is just costing too much $$
