gas tank pressure?

how much pressure do you have in your tank. when i undo my gas cap it has alot of pressure in it. it will blow out air when i take it off, and if im not holding my cap it will blow it off. not like far just off the fill hole. my fuel rail the other day got air in it when i was on the highway and shut off and wouldnt start back up for about 15 min. and gas was back in the fuel rail and im wondering if this could be why, been doin it for a while and i dont know why. any help........thanks

My tank is usually pressurized when I take off the cap. Not enough to blow your hair back, but definitely enough to hear it release.

I take a shot in the dark at it......check the vent lines that go up to the charcoal cannistor for blockage.

Check fuel lines for blockage (including fuel filter). You might also want to replace the cap.

Mine never makes noise when I take the cap off, actually, none of my cars do.
