T Case drop to pound in tranny tunnel

I'm caging my jeep and puttin racing seats in it. The problem is I'm 6 foot 7 and i plan to wear a helmet when off roading my jep. As of right now my head would hit the roof. So I want lower the t case an inch so I can pound in the tunnel a little to lower the seats down a bit. Sound like a good idea? I don't rock crawl so ground clearence isn't that big of a deal

Cut yourself a sunroof/moonroof....

cant you cut the mount for the seats shorter?
