When I put my 8.8 in I just welded a shock mount to the center of the housing. Had to find the right shock to not limit up/down travel.

I used the JKS shock mounts and cut off the old ones. Here's a pic.

I now use 8" travel shocks on about 8" of lift. Honestly thats about all the travel I can get out of these sky-jacker 5.5" leafs and 1.5" TnT shackles.

I used $5 trailer axle spring perches welded to my axle.
