My '98 has been having lots of intermittent electrical gremlins. I think it might be a ground problem, but I'm trying not to jump to conclusions...
It appears that I have been getting water/mud in the cab where the radio antenna cable comes through the inner fender. I've cleaned all kinds of junk from the connections on the junction/fuse block. My question is, how is that block grounded?
Some (not all) of my intermittent symptoms:
(and I realize that may also be looking at multiple problems)
no overdrive
dome lights are dim (about 6vdc) when they should be off
blower fan (I also think that my speed selecting resistor pack is bad)
courtesy lights (the lights near the feet)
back up lights (already cleaned the NSS)
gauges, I've already reseated the connectors behind the cluster
radio
I don't have an FSM.
How is the junction/fuse block grounded?
Could something there cause all or most of these problems?
Thanks,
Chuck
