quick question on clutch master cyclinder
i have a 1990 xj with the ax-15 tranny
i bought a master today and matched it up to the master i removed,
the lenght and confrigation of both match up nicely except for the diamater
of the body where the piston is.Are there different piston sizes of master cyclinders?
the one i bought seams to be just a little smaller in diamater then the one i removed. Will this smaller one work? Thanks John

not that this answers your question, but I thought the AX-15 wasn't used until 91.....could be the problem????
most Renix manuals are the BA-10

I can answer part of your question: yes, cylinders come with different bore/piston diameters. I believe old_man has mentioned using a larger bore for his master cylinder conversion project (Hoyes?). I personally wouldn't think you would want to use a smaller bore than standard but I am sure someone knows for sure.

Wrong. The AX-15 replaced the Peugeot in late 1989.
