27 spline 8.25 quick question

I have a 27spline 8.25 and want to upgrade the shafts to 29spline.All I need are the 29spline shafts and carrier,right?
Do the outer axle bearings have to be changed to fit the bigger shafts?

No, the outer brgs. are the same. Just the carrier and shafts. The shafts are larger diameter from the bearing races inward. Unless you are doing a gear swap, it would have been easier to just get a whole axle.
