99 xj broken into

to make a long story short my 99 xj was broken into last night. back window was smashed and my sub/amp was stolen from the back. I have a hatch complete with glass from a 93 parts jeep and im wondering if the glass is the same size/shape and will fit into my 99 hatch. no theft insurance so i am not covered for anything.

im pretty sure you gotta replace it with 96 and newer glass

you're correct. the hatches are different.

Make that 1997 and up, as that is when Jeep changed to the metal hatch design. The earlier model glass is too square in the corners, and mounts completely different, to boot.
