I need to change the front track bar bushings and the dealer wants $95 to do the job. Is this a production that requires special tools and a re-alignment, or should I do it in the garage meself?

TIA for your wise input.

They ought to replace the whole track bar for $95! If you're just replacing the bushings on the lower end (since a stock track bar has a tie-rod type end on the upper 'frame' side), you can do that yourself in 15-20 min. You won't have any front-end alignment issues to deal with as long as you don't adjust any rod-ends. If you have any trouble lining up the holes on the track bar with its axle housing mount after you replace the bushings, just have someone slowly turn the steering wheel back and forth until they line up. Easy job...you've got this one.
