C-Rok steering box reinforcing kit

Any body have one? How do you like it? Did it work? I have had a creeking noise from my front end and thought it was my track bar mount but it tured out to be my steering box and frame. I've had people tell me my XJ is tost and then I've had people tell me to get the C-rok brace. Just wanted to hear it from the experts

it works great. been running that kit for a number of years with no issues

They said it didn't need to be welded But I think It will help. Was it an eazy install?

yes, it is an easy install. it does not need to be welded, but there is nothing wrong if you do.

however, if you want a brace designed for welding, check out the JKS SBS kit

Im hoping that the C-rok works cause I'm not the best welder but I can weld the corners

It works, but it is designed to prevent the frame cracking there, not to fix it. If it has already cracked, you should drill out the ends to prevent further cracking, weld it up, and then I'd use the JKS SBS instead http://store.jksmfg.com/merchant2/m...Store_Code=JKS01&Category_Code=Steering_Brake

as long as your frame around the steering box isn't cracked then there is nothing really wrong with your XJ. theyre going to groan and moan a little offroad. you just done want them cracking anywhere
