Sqeaking in front end

For the past several weeks, I have noticed a low squeak that comes from the from end ONLY when turning. It sounds like it's coming from the front wheels, and it definately doesn't sound like brakes rubbing. Any ideas where else I might look? What are the symtoms of shot bearings? Thanks.

is the squek repetitive and does it change with speed? If it's not something that sounds like it corresponds with wheel speed I would look at your TRE's and Balljoints.
The check the bearings jack up one side of the XJ and then grab the wheel. See if it has any play in it be trying to wobble it with your hands at 12 and 6 o'clock on the tire.
You can also check the u-joints while it's up. Try rotating the tire slowly and feeling for any roughness,
