Stock height measurement?

Up here eh?
Anyone care to take a measurement for me?
I'd like to know the stock measurement from the ground to the front area of the rear door handle. I'm sitting at 46.75"s right now, and wondering what that is over stock.

This is the same for me when my XJ was at stock hight. After I added the Up-Country Group to it. It became Front 18 1/2" Rear 18 3/4". Measurements were taken a few months after install.

Thanks for that PornstaR, but my stock flares are long gone and the fenders are trimmed to their limit, which is why I used the door handle as the measureing point.
I'm going to try the method used in the link that Timber posted and see what I get.

I just measured mine yesterday, it's stock non-uc and it's a 1994, so the springs are 13 years old.

I got 17.4 rear and 17.7 front.

Wierd.

does anyone know what the stock height from bottom of frame to ground with stock tire size is? I have been all over the internet and this site but cant find a thing. Thanks.

On my '88, I get 17.5ish front and 17ish rear so my ride height is stock. I then get 39 3/4" measured from the pavement to the front/underside of the rear door handle. I checked both sides and they're within a 1/4".

From what part of the frame (unibody actually)?

Which stock tire? 205/70, 215/75, etc? Which rim? 15x6, 15x7, 16x7? What tire pressure? Again, it's going to make a difference...and even the brand of tire may make a difference. That's why it's not something you're going to find easily.

The link Timber posted is going to be the only way that isn't effected by tire size or pressure, but note that the third pic is an MJ, not an XJ. XJs are spring-over, and that's a spring-under design in the pic.

My stock 1990, 200,000 mile Laredo was 17" front, and 16.25" rear. With my 2 average sized teenage kids in the back seat, I was bouncing off the rear bump stops going down the freeway! I threw on a cheap short add-a-leaf, and now the rear measure 18.5". Looks like a june bug now!

thanks for the info, and really all i wanted was a round about height so that i can see close to how high of lift it is now and what the difference will be when i put the 4.5 inch lift on. i bought the jeep as is and the guy wasn't sure how big it is.
