TPS Question

I'm about to change my TPS and had one quick question. I have a 99 so do I have to adjust the TPS with a volt meter or will it adjust itself as I drive around? After searching it looks like you only have to adjust with a volt meter on Renix engines. Is that right? ALso, if it deos "learn" or adjust itself how long do I have to drive around for this to happen.

There is nothing to adjust, it only bolts on in one position.

If it drives funny after replacing it disconnect the battery for a half hour or so, it will then reboot the ecu into default settings and start the relearning process. Had to do both TJ's over the last year and need to do the XJ too before it craps out on me.
