Out of curiosity I had the local Jeep dealership reference my VIN in their database (you can do this online or in person) and found what my 97 Country was equiped with from the factory. I found that Counrty was the top-o-the-line package for 93-97 with many different choices of additional options, mostly being leather group, tow package, etc.
Aside from little differences like fog lights, recovery points, leather interior, I found that an ABS delete option, skid plate add-remove, power moonroof, overhead console add-delete, premium wheel add-delete were available.
As my build sheet breaks down, my Country has full power, no leather (cloth), no power driver seat, overhead console delete, no abs (usually not on 8.25 Corp), full tint, no heated mirrors, yes to timed-off headlights, cruise, tilt, air, wood grain, full instruments, premium shocks, premium wheels, raised white letter tires, heavy duty cooling, etc etc etc.
The most unusual option that mine has is a power moonroof option that I believe was installed at the factory. I have seen other XJ's with moonroofs but they look nothing like mine. The mounting frame (moonroof) to the top of the roof (body) contours the ribs on the roof, seals perfectly. The headliner looks to be built (OEM) to accomodate the moonroof assembly that retracts into and under the roof. It is wired into the fuse panel (cant remember position) and is in with the OEM wire loom. I found between the rear speakers there was a manual crank to close the moonroof if the motor failed.
Give the dealership your VIN and ask some questions (if someone is willing to answer) and you can get a wealth of information on your Cherokee.
