Has anyone modified a Billet Gas Door cover?

I was looking at this for the TJ...

Think it could be modified (or not needed to be) to fit on to the XJ?

Remove the XJ door....install this where the door use to be.

You could put it on over the existing opening if it's big enough to cover the square hole in the body. The thing is it won't sit flush and may not look right. If you caould get the inner cup out of a TJ from a junkyard and install it in your XJ then it might look good.

Then all you have to do is lower the roof so that your windows are so small you can barely see out them and order H3 emblems to go on it................ just kidding, to each his own.

Why not? Just because it isnt over advertised in a catalog doesnt mean it wont work with a little thought. So ya,be different,or better yet ,make one up yourself.
