Help! My Auxilery Fan won't turn off?

I never get over 200 temp wise but for the last few days i noticed the aux fan would stay on after i turned off the ignition if i was using the ac generally. Well it was always off when i came back so i just figured it was normal but last night it kept running and i came back an hour later and its stilll going and my battery is dead... I pulled the ground and am charging the battery but what could cause this?

Bad sensor.

Couple things.

Check your actual temp, get a new gauge and sensor, very easy to do, search it.

You can always wire your elec fan to a switch thru a relay, too

fan relay switch is bad, it is got some dirt or other crap in it

That's probably the case, because I remember back in the days when my jeep would overheat pretty badly, I would shut the engine down when the temp was around 240, 250 or so and the e-fan would shut off right away even when it was this hot.

x2 on the fan relay being stuck closed

Yeah x3 on that.

New realy for mune was 8.00 bucks I think good place to start if you're just gonna pull and replace to trouble shoot
