My tired old Dana 30 needs to be upgraded a bit. I was thinking of getting a Warn Hub conversion kit and a locker of some kind. My Dana 30 is a 1990 with vac disconnect and the smaller 260 u-joints. The Warn kit comes in two sizes,260 u-joints or 297 u-joints. Is it worth the extra expense to switch the inner axle shafts to get the bigger 297 u-joints???

Yes if you do it go with the bigger u-joints. But that hub kit is awefully expensive.

Get the 297 shafts but don't waste your money on the hubs.. Unless you feel you really need them in addition to the VAC disco.. I would think not
