Have the chance to pick up a complete 1984 Cherokee wagoneer. The seller said the engine is shot, but the axles have 4:11's. I think they maybe factory 4:10's. Looking at swapping them into my son's 1988, 5 speed with factory gears, to help with larger tires. Are these factory axles worth buying. Or are they weak?
Thanks

Front would be fine. Nothing wrong with a disco D30 in my book.

Rear should be a D35. :puke: I wouldn't mess with it.

x2 bigger tires and a d-35 rearend just don't belong in the same sentence.Might be ok for light wheelin' and tires up to 30" but its still junk. The real fun starts when you add a locker with the "big" tires=BOOM!!

If you can get it for $100-150 it might be ok for some spare parts....but that year with the d-35 rear and toasted motor really isn't worth alot.
