2wd vs 4wd Tranny and axle

I searched and couldnt find anything. I got a donor jeep offered to me... I have no clue about 2wds. Whats the difference between the rear axle and the tranny? Its a 94. Will i be able to work with the donor stuff in mine? Mines a 93.

The 2wd tranny will not work with a TC, unless you change out the trans main shaft. So, you will need to find a 4wd donor tranny, and swap things out.

The rearend will still work, you will just need a driveshaft from a 4wd.
