Newbie Question
Bought a cherokee with a 3 in. lift but probably standard shocks and i broke one in the rear. I called rancho to see what to get and they said they didnt make one for my jeep. Anybody know where i can get the right shocks? Thanks for any help.

Look on Quadratecs site under the shock section, they list for all different length and the brands they carry, Personally Id like to find some stockish type the right length for a 3" when I do mine, particulary after buying 4 Nitro 9000`s from Skycracker..... a frigin 2x4 strut would ride better.

Yes, also 4wd hardware has them. both offer free catalog for cherokee's, but make sure you specify so you don't get a bunch of wrangler catalogs. Every time I get a new one I feel like a kid looking for toys that I want santa to bring me,

Get the doetsch prerunner 8000 shocks.

They have a built in bumpstop at each end and ride nice.

To size the right shock you need disconnect the shock and jack the jeep up. Then support the frame on jack stands and let the suspension droop. Next measure the length of shock you will need to get the best droop. Go here and pick the best match.

Doing it this way will get you the best shock for the amount of lift you are running. With 6.5" of lift I'm running the 8333 and 8350 shocks. I could probably run a longer shock but them the springs come to far off the upper mounts for my liking ;)

So who sells Doetsch shocks? I've checked around and haven't had much luck finding a supplier. I am tired of replacing Rancho's every year.

Im looking for the Doetsch 9234 or 9268 for the rear
