Explorer V6 8.8

SO I can't seem to find the V8 8.8 for the price I wanna pay here in CA with the stock 4.10 gearing, but I did find the V6 with 4.10's all over the place.
Simple Question:
Whats the difference of the two axels from the V6 and the V8?
Is it Disks on the V8 and Drums on the V6?

There is no difference int he axles other than gearing. I believe the V6's come with higher gearing.

96 and above all have disk

same axles in the v6's and the v8's, the gearing is also different between the models and what was ordered. I bought (4) 8.8's from a scrap/salvage yard that was closing their doors. I got everything from 3.55's to 4.10's with open carriers and with LSD's. They all had disk brakes too b/c they were from 1998 and up models.
