d30 carrier breaks

i changed my rear gear ratio to 3.73 when i stuck a ford 8.8 in the back of my xj, now i need to change the front to 3.73 but im not sure if i can use the carrier that i have right now, the old gears that i had were 3.55 so do i need to buy a new carrier as well?

You will need a new carrier for the 3:73 gears.
