I have a ARB locker in the front diff. of my 96 XJ, is there any special lube required? I looked on ARB's site but found no recommondations for lube. The front diff. is a model 30. Thanks.

You guys are correct that it doesn't really need anything special, however they do list some recommendations in the ARB "Operating & Service Manual". Here's what it states:

Normal/Typical Use:
highway and light to medium off road use between -12 and +100*C (10 to 212*F)
Shell Diff Oil (SAE 90)
Mobil Mobilube GX90

Heavy Off Road Use
high horsepower/high torque use between -9 and +100*C (16 to 212*F)
Shell Spirax HD 85W-140
Mobil Mobilube GX140

High Temperature/Desert Use:
mainly off road use between -30 and +100*C (-22 to 212*F)
Shell Spirax S 80W-140
Mobil Mobilube SHC 80W-140

Low Temperature/Winter Use:
mainly off road use between -48 and +100*C (-54 to 212*F)
Shell Spirax S 75W-90
Mobil Mobilube SHC 75W-90

And it says you can use any equivalents to the brands they listed.

That being said, I have Mobil1 75W-140 (expensive stuff) in the rear diff and cheaper Valvoline 75W-90 blend in the front diff. I went with the cheaper stuff there only because I have manual hubs so it doesn't really need the liquid gold.
