I just finished pulling the innards from a D30 HP axle housing today, so will offer it should anyone need it...
IF you want to use the housing itself:
1) One of the sway bar mounts is in need of replacement, if you do intend
to use the (anti-)swaybar.If you go with a tie-rod flip, or high-steer?,
you would want to install the extended mounts, anyway.
2) One side of the box-section which supports the coil platform, on one
side, is kinda ripped up, so a new piece would need to be welded in
there....
The knuckles appear to be fine, and the ball joints seem tight, so anyone needing those parts cheap could pull them.
This is the empty housing only, with knuckles and ball-joints attached.
Pick it up, in Foxboro, MA, for $20. (about the scrap value...
