Vavle Cover Gasket Replacement ... How Long ?

How long does it take from starrt to finish ?

It looks fairly straight forward in the Haynes, just curious if there is anything I am not seeing. I bought the rubber\metal gasket adn the XJ is a 2001.

It is very easy just undo the bolts holding it down and clean surface. For some one that has never done it before. Im gonna say and hour to and hour and a half. But really it only takes like a half hour.

Depends on if Phil shows up with beer or not..... only about a hour long job including tanking the valvecover.

probably only an hour or so. mine was a pain because the upper rad hose got in the way of the front of the valvecover and kepth catching. Finally I pulled off the upper rad hose to make it easier. I'm not sure if all the jeeps are like that, but I found after I had removed that it only took around 20 minutes to do the job. Most of my time was wasted screwing around with trying to get the VC off without damaging the rad hose.
