What can I do about a carrier... can I use a lunchbox locker like Aussie as one? or do i need to look at another?

For carriers you're either looking at limited-slip units, Detroit lockers, or ARBs...besides a bare 'open' carrier. Your lunchbox lockers (Aussie, LockRight/Powertrax) replace the spider gears in an open carrier. If you need to change carriers based on gear ratio, you'll have to look into the carrier options, not lunchbox lockers. ;)

you can get away with your stock carrier, a lunchbox locker, and a set of thick cut gears. that may be your cheap option.

yep, thats what i did, thick gears, stock carrier and a lockright.

you will have to ream the holes in the carrier larger though. its no big deal.

What kind of brands do I need to look at for these "thick cut" gears
