theft proofing new winch

how have you guys with winches securing them so they dont get took by some low life?

Im thinking of welding in a bolt or two just enough so a wrench or air tool wont take it off the bumper and the same for the bumper it self.

how does this sound?

That's a smart move. When you park, park where you can nose in to an obstacle (ie:bldg, fence, house etc) if that option is available. Also ensure they can't take the whole damn rig.
