Yep!
In fact that's a good way to get a u-bolt yoke for your 44 - the 78-79 bronco fronts (among others) used a u-bolt style yoke rather than a lame strap kind.
That same yoke is also usable on a Dana 30, or as an output yoke on a Dana 300 t-case.
