XJ sittin for a while

Not sure if this is the right area but wasn't sure.

Anyways, I parted my XJ out and as of now its sittin on 4 jackstands. Its going to be like that for a little while but I am going to throw some stock axles under there so I can get it on the ground at least.

But my question is should I be doing anything to it while it sits there? Pour anything in the gas? Take the battery out? Anything.....?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

How long is awhile? I would suggest starting it up once a week if you can and running it up to operating temp to keep the juices flowing. Might not be necessary but would definitely help.

remove fuel and battery

How would I go about removing the fuel? Is there just a syphon (sp?) I can purchase?

And a while is.....well it hasnt been started in over 2 months or so and it'll probably sit probably for another year or so or till I gain interest again.
