dana 30 disco

You can get the larger ujoint non disconnect axles from most newer D30's, and they will just bolt right in. The problem is getting the seal for the passenger side of the axle. There isn't one on the pumpkin end of the tube and the one outboard of the disconnect housing is too big to seal around the new shaft. The pumpkin side is smaller ID than the drivers side, so you can't just tap a seal in that would fit the drivers side. I believe Warn used to have a kit with the pumpkin seal, the new disco seal, and a plate to bolt up where the shift fork assembly gets removed.

Just found this thread also: http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=20301&highlight=seal+part+number

Supposedly with some seal part numbers. I don't know if they are verified or not. You don't have to remove the shifter assembly, if you don't want to, but you have to take it off either way to get the old and new seal in and out.
