Fan Belt

Hi Guys;

I had my aircon compressor replaced and also had the belt changed.The workshop put the belt way to too much on the frontside; and as a result teh first rib was damaged right where the compressor pulley tapers(flairs).Now the belt looks ok and runs ok.Can i leave it like this ?

Yes, but carry a spare belt, tools and know-how to swap one out if it should break. Also, be careful that it doesn't fray and destroy things like the rubber portion of your tranny cooler lines that run in that area (happened to me). If you hear it slapping, stop immediately.
