cruise control

Okay guys time to think. I have a 89 xj with cruise. ready for this? When i use my LEFT blinker it turns off an will not re-set till i turn it off an back on at switch.. Does not do it on right turn blinker or emergency flashers..Can i please get some help? I thank you all

Saw the same problem on an F-250 once. Check your wiring harness for the turn signal/brake lights on the left side, and the trailer light harness(if equipped) also look at the bulb sockets. There's some kind of feedback on the left side through to the brake wireing. The computer sees power on the brake circuit, and thinks you're hitting the brakes. 'Cruise shuts off.
