question about gear ratio

i have a 98 cherokee with a 3.55 front end stock
I had 4 wheel part swap in a dana 44 with 3.54 gears in back with lsd.

according to the guy he said since im running stock rubicon wheels and tires
(31" MTR'S)
that i didnt have to change the rear gears to match.

does this sound odd or is he correct

I think the stock Rubicon uses 4.10 - 1 gears and 31" tires. If you are using the stock Rubi D44 in the rear and stock XJ up front you will have a miss match in the gear ratio. Results?? :explosion
Someone else here have more expreiance with the Rubi than I do.

3.55=3.54, close enough. 4.09 and 4.11 are the same, not an issue, they're the same gear ration essentially. one or two hundreths is not an issue. 3.55 and 3.73 would be an issue.

But he is only using the Rubi wheels and tires... :roll:
