3 inch lift kit lca question

i have a 3 inch lift kit on my 95 sport and i want to beef up the stock control arms i figure the lower ones will be the first to go would it hurt just putting just lower ones on and not upper?

you'll be fine on 3", the RE kits for the 3.5" only come with the lowers anyways
