chevy 350 swap or rebuilt 4.0l

so im looking to get some opinion on what to drop into the xj, i just recently blew the engine and was gonna buy a rebuilt 4.0l but their 1500 and the chevy 350 with 4x4 tranny is only 1350. i need some input 0n what i should do. i have the 30 spline upgrades front and rear on the axles with the 297 joints and 4.88 gears. so i just wana know how the 350s work in the xj and if i should go with the upgrade what kind of changes i would need to do? thanx

definately go with the 4.0l. its alot easier...i know. but mine was an 86 which a 4.0l was just as much work as the 350. ALOT of work for the v-8.

Ide go with a 4.0L....Easier to do, and you can build it up a little.

what kind of options do i have on building the 4.0l
