I have a 96 xj. I just finished a 5.5 Re lift and b4 i got to drive it i have a crazy leak coming from the drivers side of the fron end. I figured i just break that knuckle thing and pull out the u joint and and axle and do the seal. Im gettin a little worried because i was told i gotta take off the diff cover and disconect from the inside. how do i find instructions or is it easy to just figure out when i take it apart

Remove cover and drain fluid

Remove the calipers/rotors each side

Pull both axle shafts(just unbolt the unit bearings and pull the whole assembly out).

Remove cap bolts on the carrier. You may need a case spreader to get the carrier out.

Remove old seals.

Replace old seals, I made a tool out of PVC pipe that I can tap them in with.

Put the carrier back in. Tighten the cap bolts evenly down and torque to spec.

Put the cover on, and let the sealant set-up a hour or so.

Replace axles and torque the 3 bolts each side to spec.

Replace the calipers/rotors

Fill with recommended fluid
