Tranmission and transfer case problems

I have a 91 cherokee that is having several problems, (motor, tranny, and transfer case). My question for now is I have found a tranny and transfer case out of a 92 cherokee. both have the 4.0 in them. I dont have access to part numbers right now and I need to act quick on this. Wiil they interchange? how many different tranny/transfer cases are there between these two models and motor

engine/trans should be same (assuming auto) but I would verify TC is same- coulda been 242 or 231. Tag on back will tell you if you're not sure.
