I am set on getting a Rubicon Express 6030

http://www.rubiconexpress.com/Products.aspx?Cn=188&Pn=2019&XnPath=173,180,188&Vid=1C47AF2011354

New leafs, the Suspension disconnects up front.

I have used the search engine and have come to these conclusions.

1. OME shocks #35 and #36 for front and rear respectivly. Or should I get the RE monotubes or Twin tubes? Any thoughts on this?

2. I need to get an adjustible track bar and not redrill the mount hole as per the kits instructions. Where would u reccommend I pick one up? And which one.

3. Also, what brake lines should I get as there are problems with the supplied brake lines?...once that can disconnect under stress? (is that possible?..is that good?...got confused a little with http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=916566&highlight=re6030 as this will be my first lift )

4. Besides tires, is there anything else I should consider changing right now?

Thanks for helping me Hasta .

Call Dirk @ DPGOffroad.com

His hybrid kits are sweet as he replaces the less than stellar parts of RE's kits with JKS (discos, trackbar). IMO, skip the OME shocks and save some money with anything cheaper....

Jason @ Jeepinoutfitters.com has an excellent rep too...

Thanks guys, I'll check Dirk out,

I wasnt going to buy from there, I just was linking so u knew that I knew which one i meant.

I got a line on better prices from alljeep.com as well.

Just got off the phone with a friend who off roads, he convinced me to go with the REtwin tubes.

So, now I just need to find an adjustible trackbar.

Thanks for the feedback so far.

X2 million...

Dirk is an awesome guy to deal with. His products and prices are fantastic! Not to mention he is a NAXJA sponsor.

Give him a call and tell him what you plan on doing with your rig, what lift you would like, and what your budget is.

Depending on your rig, you may have driveline vibes after a lift. A t-case drop or slip-yoke eliminator may be needed. If you have to get an SYE, then you will need a driveshaft... but, you may not need anything. You may not know until the lift is on the Jeep. Some guys have no issues with 4 - 5 " of lift others have vibes with 3" lift... no science to it either....

As for shocks, OME are good, RE mono-tubes are good, Bilstein are awesome! I went from RE mono-tues to Bilstein 5150's and noticed a huge difference. I opted for the heavier valving for a stiffer shock though. I don't know of anyone running the twin tubes so I can't help you there.

Brakeline issue? Never expereinced. Most companies use Crown lines anyways. I have been running the ones I got from RE for over 3 years with no issues!

Trac bar - RE HD with brace! awesome product!

JKS Quicker disconnects

Other items - ARMOR!!! Rock rails, gas tank skid and tow points, at a minimum. Ask Dirk about his gas tank and transfer case skids, they are top notch! I have been running his t-case belly skid for 3 years and abused the heck out of it with no issues, except for the paint is gone.. LOL

Oh yeah, once you've ordered everything and have the lift install scheduled, start spraying all of the bolts with some PB Blaster a couple of weeks before!

You will need a grinder to remve the lip on the bumpstop bucket for the front end.

I hope this helps you some

Good luck!

Thanks guys.

For now I am going with the RE3060

Real springs and a quick disconnect included.

The RE1600 Adjustible track bar

and the RE 3.5"-4.5" mono-tubes

all for about $850

Apparently you have not dealt with rustys or read any of the many threads on here about the "great" service, problems and shipping they have:wierd:

Or the quality differences. It always cracks me up when a customer calls and says, 'I want a cheap lift but something good.'

I swear the only reason why Rusty's prices are so low is because he tacks on what it actually costs in shipping. I get stuff delivered here from Toronto cheaper.

I have that kit with d3000's (free n suck) and it is amazing. I got mine from jeepinoutfitters.com and couldn't be happier with the service. I am saving got a trackbar now... I am gonna get the RE adj off of JO.com.
