concerning tre's....

A few months ago while out wheeling I found a flipped over 4-door xj
(gen. one body style)

I scavenged some parts including the drag link.Well yesterday I needed the tre that goes to the pitman arm so I grabbed the one I salvaged and to my amazement it was about an 1/8" bigger around the threads than the original I had on my 89 xj????

What gives?Do some years have bigger tre's?I thought they were all the same?

Uh that might have been somebody's XJ.

nope it was a stolen jeep that occasionally turns up where we wheel....totalled.I doubt they're going to miss their draglink.
