Have a chance of picking up a '97, new exhaust, brakes, 132k miles. Great body and int.
Prob: will not come out of 4WD.
Any thoughts on this? (other than the obvious....linkage)
Oh ya....getting it for $1k

I would be worried about how long/much they drove it around on the streets in 4WD.

I say for that price who cares, slam a new T-Case in and you're still out waaaay ahead. But yeah I'd check linkage especially, maybe the 4wd light is just stuck on too.

pray it's a 242TC and the linkage is the problem-- all time 4WD shouldn't have been hurt by staying in 4WD.
