do i need a new bigger carrier if i am putting in a a aussie locker in front? or do i still need to go buy one, i am putting in 4.88 gears, and my stock gears are like 3.07. thanks

you will need a new carrier due to the gearing change, not the aussie locker.

ok thanks, the guy at 4 wheel parts said i didnt need to replace my carrier when i put in my locker, but he was a d-bag lol, thanks

On a D30 the break over point is on 3.73 and numerically higher gears. the carrier is different to support the different ring gear etc, not the locker. Hope this helps ya.

if you're just doing a locker, you dont need to. if you're changing the gear ratio, you need to change the carrier if your original one is the wrong size for your gear ratio.
