i have a 93 xj with the 4.0 aw4 231 and i was wondering if the starter and alternator would fit the 97-01 cherokees or which years those were compatable with. If anyone can help let me know

- In yer postz fixin yer spellinz.
Check with NAPA to see if they are the same part numbers. IIRC they are the same 88-01 but can't remember if that was just the starter on the Jeep or the SBC. Don't have a clue on the altenator.
