For 3 months my limited has set, I have dreaded changing the CPS because I only have a cement pad to work on since my garage burned down. I have had the new cps for 2 months, so today I said Go! I found the 2 bolts, and then thought if I removed the front drive shaft I would have more room. While up, getting tools, i traced the wire to the CPS, and Bingo! The wire got hot hoit on the manifold and burned bare, it was grounding against the manifold. I replaced a section of wire, and now its as good as new. Can you believe that I was so relieved to fix it that simple. So, if your xj is running funny, and sometimes dies, and sometimes runs poorly, check everything you can find. :looney:
