Forester moonroof?

Hey, just an idea. Anyone ever try to put in a moonroof/sunroof from a different vehicle? I was thinking about trying to find a power moonroof from a subaru forester, its a huuge one. Seeing as my roof is rusting worse than most peoples floorpans, i thought itd be nice to get rid of a bunch of rusty steel and have glass. Sound dumb?

Sounds like a good idea seeing jeep cherokees came stock with sunroofs in some models but if not done correctly they'll leak like hell.

I think you'd be better off getting an aftermarket one just for the sake its make to match the roof contours and will be less prone to leakage. i would like to install a moonroof too.....but since i'm in iraq i don't get to play with my jeep at all. its like mandatory web wheeler duty for a year! it sucks!

Mine is made by ASC(american sunroof company) and it has been in since 2000 no leaks it rattles a little bit only whne it rains but it is pretty big. Thats about all I know since the previous owner had it installed
