Im looking for a welder for my shop, I've narrowed it down to the lincoln 175 or the 180, i was wondering if the 180 worth the extra money. The only differences I can see are the wire speed range, the extra 5 amps, and I think there might be a slight difference in the wire feed system. What do you all think.
Thanks

I have never used a Lincoln 180. However I did have a Miller 175 until it was stolin. Now I have a Miller 180 and the extra 5 amps makes a big diiference in pentrating thick metal. I would by the 180 just incase you might need it. I think the Lincoln overheats at 85 degrees and the Miller overheats at 100 degrees. If you live in a hot area I would think about the overheating issues that you may incounter.
