shift points

'87 XJ, 4.0, AW4, 3 inch lift, can you adjust shift points (rpm wise) by adjusting the cable that runs from the throttle body to the tranny (TV cable?) ? Mine seems to shift early.

nope. that adjusts firmness.

if its being wierd clean ALL your grounds. then maybe check the A/T side of your tps. if those things are fine and you just don't like where the tcu chooses to shift then look into the diy tiptronic setup or brettm's shifter setup.
