how many fuses for 89 AW4?

I know about 2 fuses for my 89 AW4 tranny. One is a 7.5A on the fuse box, inside, on the driver's side. The other is a 10A under the dash, on the passenger side. I have read that there is a 3rd fuse without reference to its location. Is this correct, and if so, where is it physically?

If you have a meter, you can always check for power at the TCU connector. Should have power on the red and yellow wires with the ignition on.
