control arm length

As long as possible.

In fact, run them to the rear diff, it will make your Jeep force articulation like Sonny Honneger's scorpion.

Just kidding. Need more info. Are you building your own control arms and using the stock mounts? or making new mounts at the frame?

Adjust the LCAs so that you maintain proper wheelbase length (101.4"). Then adjust the UCAs to get as close to the proper caster angle (generally ~ 5º to 8º) without causing damaging vibrations to the front drive shaft u-joint.

Is an alingment nessasary when replacing the uppers? Already have fixed lowers am planing on installing some adj uppers.

I was hesitant to post control arm lengths based on lift height simply because each Jeep is different. So as Bootlegger mentioned, just understand these lengths are guidelines, not the rule.

Hard to measure to the hundredths with a tape measure. Good to know they are different lengths. Not sure how to measure caster angle.

I am using RE adjustable uppers and lower CAs so easy adjustment. now to get atape out and start some measuring. Thanks guys you givien me a good baseline to start from
