Power steering pump removal

Do I have to remove the motor mount to remove the power steering pump mounting bracket? I have all the bolts off and it appears to be associated with the motor mount, and I can't pull it off.

Ok, dunno what year your XJ is from or what engine you have. If I recall correctly, on my '92 l6 engine you can simply take it off by losening ALL the bolts, including the one behind the pump!

Mine came out with no problems. Just unbolted it. There is a bolt in back.

4 total bolts. You need to remove the power steering pump completely. One is behind it.
